The Touge Racer
Price Tier N/A
The Touge Racer sits right where Aevum's road ends and Garage Hira's begins. The case shape carries something new entirely with the massive radial bezel that gives you the impression of Mt Fuji from a side view. Every line on that face is laser-cut and painted by hand, built around the kind of manga panel energy you'd find in a touge battle scene — speed lines pulling toward the apex, ドン and ギャァア breaking through like sound effects lifted straight off the page. It's not printed or stamped; it's engraved into the steel itself, so the artwork has real depth under the light. The pink seconds hand cuts through the monochrome just enough to keep your eye moving, and the iridescent blue-to-purple bezel shifts with it depending on the angle you're catching it from. It's going to be small run, hand-finished top to bottom, ever changing in the layout and it carries the first Garage Hira (平) mark, the moment the brand started becoming what it is now. The white brass dial is made entirely in-house. Hand brushed, hand painted and hand lumed with Nemoto BGW9. A dial that pulls you in with the curve of the road. Paired with a Kurozan urushi tipped Japanese leather strap and an NH35 automatic movement, the Touge Racer is a handmade tribute to Japan's racing spirit, craftmanship and the entertainment that pulls it all together.
