The Gemstone Series We worked with our dial makers to do something many said was impossible: slicing natural gemstones down to just 0.6mm . But the real challenge was the structural sandwich beneath it. Each dial is composed of: 0.6mm translucent natural gemstone. 0.2mm deep layer of Swiss BGW-9 Super-LumiNova. 0.2mm bronze base plate for rigidity. To keep this 1.0mm sandwich perfectly secure, all three layers are bolted together by two horizontal smooth domed-head bolts at the 3 and 9 oclock positions. I specifically chose smooth domed heads instead of traditional screws for a reason: I didnt want the messy look of misaligned screw slots. These custom bolts ensure the structure is rock-solid while keeping the visual focus entirely on the stone itself. Center 3-Hand Configuration To honor the purity of the stones, these models feature a clean center three-hand layout, allowing the light to travel across the dial without interruption. When you step into the dark, the 0.2mm layer of lume underneath shines through the 0.6mm gemstone, revealing the natural grain and veins of the stone. Purple Jade A true rarity in the mineral world, Purple Jade (often known as Lavender Jade) offers a unique optical journey. In direct light, it presents a delicate, pinkish Wisteria hue that feels soft and romantic. However, beneath this surface lies a dense mineral structure that reacts beautifully to the hidden lume layer. When the sun sets, this pinkish stone undergoes a dramatic transformation, revealing a deep, distinct bluish lume that is slightly different in tone and intensity than its green counterpart. Micro-Rotor Movement The Quantra operates on an automatic movement featuring a micro-rotor. Its transparent case back and the positioning of the oscillating weight at the same level as other components unveil the watchs inner workings, providing a captivating view of the gears in motion. The micro-rotor movement is regulated in-house to +/- 7 seconds and upgraded with blue screws and custom ALCADUS rotor. A polished tapered chamfer along the lug shoulder adds a touch of sophistication to this watch. A hallmark of distinction across all ALCADUS models, the Quantra proudly boasts box-shaped crystals that extend beyond the case edge, a notable enhancement over the previously prevalent plexiglass (acrylic glass) susceptible to scratches. Moreover, our sapphire crystal undergoes a meticulous process, receiving 5 layers of Anti-Reflective coating on its inner side to enhance clarity and legibility. This thoughtful treatment ensures optimal visibility without compromising its integrity, as applying the coating to both sides can risk scratching. The watch case also features a 800 HV scratch-resistant coating and an anti-finger print coating to preserve the pristine beauty of your timepiece. The Technical Artistry of the Gemstone Dial Crafting a dial from authentic mineral ore is a journey of precision and best-effort color matching. To achieve our signature aesthetic, we follow a strict technical process: Gemstone Type, Not a Color Code: You are choosing a Gemstone Type (Green Jade, Purple Jade, or Yellow Mellite). Because we use various natural ores – not a single rock- no two watches will be identical in color intensity or veining. The Pastel Evolution: We cut every gemstone to a translucent 0.6mm and lay it over a white BGW-9 Super-LumiNova® base. This creates an inner light that makes the final dial appear more pastel and lighter than the raw ore. Our Quality Commitment: A single gemstone block contains different patterns depending on where it is sliced. While we cannot guarantee an exact color match to prototypes, we meticulously hand-select stones of similar shades and guarantee the structural integrity of your watch. QC Standard: Every production dial is inspected to be free of cracks and perfectly bonded. You receive a watch that is technically perfect and geologically unique. Luxurious French Leather Straps The leather strap, often overlooked by many brands, is a crucial detail for ALCADUS. Its an essential part of the puzzle, embodying craftsmanship, durability, tradition, comfort, and quality. To meet these criteria, we use Epsom leathers from Tanneries Haas (owned by the Chanel group) in France, which is the supplier to major luxury brands. Tanneries Haas in France has been tanning leather since 1842 and is famous for their premium leathers. Meticulously Handcrafted Every single one of our watch straps is meticulously crafted by hand, employing traditional leathercraft techniques. Each strap is cut, saddle-stitched and burnished by hand, guaranteeing longevity and ensuring that your strap is a timeless piece built to last a lifetime. The inner lining is made from smooth Zermatt leather from Tanneries HAAS in France, the same type of lining commonly found in Hermès bags. Comes with a 16mm high polished buckle.
