Lucky 8-2
Price Tier N/A
The Vintage line from the Alexander Shorokhoff watch manufactory is now complete with a new edition of the Lucky 8 model. The overall design of the watch is now much more elaborate, featuring delicate, sweeping hand engravings and cutouts that reveal the movement through the open dial. Not only the mainplate but also the date wheel is hand-engraved, while the three mounting screws are hand-blued for a more refined appearance. The main feature of this watch—the date display—is manufactured using the same process as in the previous model. A special silver calendar disc with a red marker is produced and mounted on the movement. Thirty-one small windows are cut out on the dial. The red marker in one of these windows indicates the current date, which can be read on the outer scale. The date numerals have also been updated and now shine with a new luster in a stamped, silver-plated version. To create a balance with the date, all hands have been colored red. The hour and minute hands retain the Alexander Shorokhoff design but stand out more prominently thanks to new small black decorative lines. The second hand has been designed half in black and half in red for improved readability. Contrasting with the black, red, and silver colors is a red-gold Alexander Shorokhoff logo. This is not a mistake, but rather intentional. It is meant to make a statement, emphasizing once again that Alexander Shorokhoff watches are different and stand out from those of other competitors. Just like its predecessor, the 2416.Poljot movement powers this timepiece. This movement has not been produced for about twenty years and is now considered a vintage rarity. It is meticulously overhauled, re-oiled, hand-engraved, and then precisely adjusted at the Alexander Shorokhoff Manufacture....
