The C-1 Prototype Most of the watches for children currently available on the market are cheap. To sell these watches for cheap, these are cheaply made with low quality materials, bad for environment as these don't last. But I wanted to change that.Also there are not so many small-sized watches that doesn't look like a jewelry. That is why I designed the C-1. I wanted the C-1 to be: Safe The C-1 is made with a Titanium case, which is a hypoallergenic (much less likely to cause an allergic reaction) material, instead of usual Stainless Steel (which is known to cause itch reacting with sweat on skin). Comfortable Small and thin (31.5mm diameter, 7.52mm thickness) Lightweight (Titanium is lighter than Stainless Steel) The crown is at 12 o'clock position so the crown will not hit the back of the hand Tough The Titanium case is harder, than Stainless Steel nor Plastic! The front crystal is made of scratch resistant Sapphire Crystal. The water proof rating is 10 ATM (withstands pressure equivalent to water depth of 100 meters) Lasting The particular Swiss Ronda movement used for this watch lasts 10 years with just one battery! The movement is made of metal (instead of cheap plastic parts) and repairable! Unique & Fun Each hands are in different color and texture (The hour hand is orange and matte, the minute hand is red and mirror finished, also it would be easier to remember how to read time). The number "6" on the dial has a hole, and through there you will see a different shape or color every day! Easily change the strap with the Quick-Release pins, so your child can easily change the style of the watch! Above image is my son wearing it, his wrist is 11.5 cm. Due to the limited size availability of the straps, the wrist size of 11.5cm is probably the smallest size for this watch to be worn. For the future mass production version (hopefully that would happen sometime in the near future), I will try my best to make smaller straps for this.But then again, the straps are removable, and if you have a shorter 18mm-width strap that would allow you to wear it even if you wrist is smaller than 11.5cm. Maybe one silicone or rubber, and another comfortable NATO. This is something I should decide with the pre-order customers.
