Do you like music? Do you like vinyl records? ARE YOU FEELING GROOVY!? If your answer is yes to any of these (or even none of these), this might be a perfect watch for you! Inspired by legendary (Panasonic) Technics SL-1200 turntable, powered by Miyota 9039 Premium automatic movement, this wrist watch is not really a piece to tell you the time (although it can do that well). Instead, it tells people around you what kind of human you are, a sophisticated music lover! How it Came to This Since the birth of the "Chillmatic" Vinyl Record Dial (now available on ModModeWatches), this was the plan, to make a full watch with it. Then I designed the R-1 Mod Case "in secret", and presented it as just a rectangular, ordinally watch case for modders. "In secret", as in, with no intention to reveal this as the case designed for the Vinyl Record Player Automatic Watch. Because it seems there weren™t enough rectangular cases in the watch modding scene. And it's actually easy to add/remove the chapter ring, because of the sandwich case construction. Also I made these Vinyl Record Hands. This design, in a way a bit confusing when it comes to checking time, was a result of seeing seemingly infinite numbers of œvinyl record / vinyl record player -inspired wristwatch designs. Most of the existing products were made cheaply, not to withstand time, or, builds (modified watches) made using the œChillmatic Vinyl Record Dials :)And most of these watches just used normal watch hands, instead of utilizing the vinyl record / record player elements. So on above picture, it's showing about 12:37. Hour: The record label with the "A" logo is the hour hand-disk. Indicating the hour with the tip of the "A". (In reality the tip of œA should be leaning slightly towards right though.) Minute: The "arm" (tonearm) of the vinyl record player is the minute hand. Yes it's not straight, it's not pointing the minute marker straight, but so you can interpret it in your own way (ie. the center of the head is pointing the minute, or the outermost edge of the head is pointing the minute. Second: The disc in the center is the center hand-disc. You can interpret in various ways, ie. when the texts on the disc is level is the 0 seconds. And so anyway, it took over one year to come this far, and it's still in the manufacturing process, but here we are! Finally I can reveal you the full design of the Vinyl Record Player Automatic Watch! (Well the above render doesn™t have the strap, but the strap will be like this:) And so we have here 3 different color variants: The RBS (Red-Black-Silver) The RBS (Red hands, Black dial, Silver case) is the most basic, standard, versatile, iconic, epic, of them all! The RBG (Red-Black-Gold) This one has the same dial and hands as the RBS version, but with golden colored case! The reason it's a bit more expensive than the non-gold colored case is that it has PVDed (Physical Vapor Deposition) real 24k gold onto the case surface! The BGB (Black-Gold-Black) Black and Gold go really well! This is the BGB colorway! Please note that the chapter ring for this is different from the other versions. The actual gold color on the dial will be more like this: All-Gold Limited Edition! SOLD OUT There will be only 30 pcs made for this 24k coated edition. So make sure to buy it while it lasts!(The dial and the hands details are as same as the BGB version) Specs: Movement: Miyota 9039 Premium Automatic, made in Japan Accuracy: ï½°10~ï¼30 sec/day Vibration Frequency: 28800 per hour Power Reserves: 42 hours Water Resistance: 5 ATM Strap: Genuine leather Dimensions: Lug-to-Lug: 36 mm Lug Width: 22 mm Case Width: 41 mm Case Thickness: 10.7 mm Case Top: Case Top with Four Screws and a Sapphire Crystal Case Back: Case Back with Four Screws and a Sapphire Crystal Package: Just the usual AndoAndoAndo recyclable, cool, small, fun, cardboard package!
