Long before women were widely recognized in the field of wildlife research, Canadian biologist Anne Innis Dagg traveled alone to South Africa to study giraffes in the wild. Her work helped lay the foundation for modern giraffe research and conservation, even though much of her contribution went unrecognized for decades. This watch was created in honor of Annes pioneering spirit and enduring love for giraffes. Dial Composition The dial was handcrafted to reflect the warmth and character of the giraffe itself. Brown-tinted mother of pearl forms the background, while the giraffe is shaped from luminous Tahitian abalone with brown Paua abalone spots inlaid. Red or olive flowers bloom across the dial, each accented with a sparkling CZ stone that catches the light as the watch moves. Set within a rose gold barrel-shaped case, the design feels playful, joyful, and full of personality. It is nearly impossible to look at this little giraffe without smiling. Case size: Rectangular Band size: 20mm Swiss Quartz
