Introducing our exquisite Wisteria hand-turned and enameled guilloché timepiece. " From the moment I saw the blue Guilloché, I knew I had to have it. This is a stunningly elegant, one of a kind, piece of wearable art. Each dial is hand-turned and the enameling gives it depth and vibrancy. The automatic movement is smooth and precise completing this exquisite watch. " ~Mary Quick, Celeste Watch Collector This rare hand-cut engine-turned (Guilloché) dial was a collaboration between guilloché artist Douglas Hall and enamel artist Rebecca Montgomery . Rebecca is not only an enamel artist but also the dial technician here at Celeste Watch Company. The pattern, invented by Douglas Hall, is named Chrysanthemum. It's distinguished by no straight lines which is unusual in guilloché . Most guilloché patterns are either all straight lines, going in different directions, several patterns on the same piece, or sometimes straight and curved lines combined. Chrysanthemum is all one arch, repeated 24 times around to make a circle. That size arch is repeated for three rounds, then reduced in size and repeated for another three rounds, and so on, until the center is reached, still at 24 arches per round, when it meets the center hole. Spectacular in it's uniqueness and precision, it's a true masterpiece that blends timeless craftsmanship dating back to the 1700s with elegant sophistication. Guilloché has been a hallmark of fine watchmaking and jewelry for generations. Owning a piece with this traditional technique is a way of connecting with the rich history of horology and extraordinary artisanal skill . After the pattern has been engraved on the dial, a delicate enamel finish is carefully applied to enhance the beauty of the design, adding a radiant and smooth luster that reflects and bounces light beautifully. Due to the time-consuming nature of both enameling and guilloché, and their connections to traditional watchmaking, these pieces often retain or increase in value over time. A well-crafted guilloché watch can be a sound investment, both for its beauty and rarity. Comes with a certificate of authenticity. Limited availability.
