Backstory This Pomegranate watch was commissioned for the 5-year celebration of the restaurant La Granada, here in Springfield. Granada means pomegranate in Spanish. We specifically put a cutting board and knife in the scene to signify the act of eating pomegranates rather than growing pomegranates. The pomegranate, long celebrated as a symbol of vitality, abundance, and health, takes center stage in this design. With every glance at your wrist, the watch becomes a quiet reminder of natures richness and the importance of nourishing both body and spirit. The scene is framed as though gazing through a window that opens onto a serene, beautiful sky creating an invitation to pause, reflect, and carry a sense of wellness with you throughout the day. Process and Materials The Pomegranate dial is brought to life through a striking blend of materials and meticulous craftsmanship. The background is formed from crushed mother of pearl pressed into a sheet, creating an intensified sparkle that catches the light with every movement. The pomegranates themselves are rendered in rich red–tinted abalone, accented by leaves of olive–tinted abalone. A window of turquoise–tinted mother of pearl opens the scene, while the cutting board is crafted from deep black-lip abalone. A finely detailed metal knife rests upon it, with the inside of a freshly cut pomegranate also gleaming in metal—adding both realism and contrast to the composition. Case: Rectangular in Rose Gold Band size: 20mm Swiss Quartz
