TIMELESS IN THE SKIES, BOLD IN THE SEA Hanhart FLY NAVY Aerosphere A new special edition, limited to a total of just 300 pieces, has been added to the collection of watch manufacturer Hanhart from the Black Forest: the FLY NAVY Aerosphere. Rarely is a reliable and robust watch needed as much as when flying low over the sea on a stormy night. Whether in the Arctic or in the tropics, in the ocean or in the coastal mountains, flying in the navy often presents difficult conditions. The FLY NAVY Aerosphere is precise, reliable and easy to read by day and night, making it easy to fly without any further navigational aids. Precision and tradition have been high priorities in the German navy for over 110 years, and Hanhart has been following these maxims since 1882 and they are reflected in this extraordinary watch. DESIGNED FOR THE EXTREME HANHART AND AVIATION The important connection between Hanhart and aviation goes back a long way in history. In aviation, the automatic pilot's watches had to withstand extreme vibrations, enormous temperature fluctuations, large differences in altitude and fluctuating weather conditions - challenges that the air forces are still familiar with today. Flying over the sea has always required maximum precision and a keen understanding of the elements. There are few other places where the forces of nature have such a direct effect as on a low flight over the sea on a stormy night, which ends with a landing on a swaying deck. The limited edition FLY NAVY Aerosphere is a reliable and precise watch and the perfect wrist companion for such challenging situations. Picture: NH90 SEA LION on board task force provider BONN - Copyright: Rasmussen PER 150 PIECES NAVAL AVIATION SQUADRONS 3 AND 5 The new FLY NAVY Aerosphere combines precision and tradition with various maritime details. According to Greek mythology, the second shows the trident of Poseidon, god of the sea, which can also be found on the coat of arms of the naval aviation squadron 3 "Graf Zeppelin". Either the coat of arms of the MFG3 "Graf Zeppelin" or the MFG5 coat of arms is embossed on the screw-down case back and can be individually selected. To complete the unique details of the navy watch, the navy pilot's logo is depicted on the navy blue dial and on the screw-in crown of the watch. The coats of arms embossed on the floor symbolize cohesion and solidarity. The MFG3 coat of arms symbolizes the affiliation to the naval aviators by the wing and the anchor in the middle. The five stars stand for the five virtues of loyalty, courage, willingness, reliability and perseverance. The MFG5 coat of arms includes water, sea eagle, anchor and wing as elements and has been in this form since 2013. The head of the sea eagle has the significance of maintaining sovereignty over the airspace above the sea. The new, limited edition FLY NAVY Aerosphere is available in both crest variants 150 times each. SPECIAL ELEMENT OPTIMUM WEARING COMFORT With the introduction of a new rubber strap, Hanhart is expanding the wearing options of the FLY NAVY Aerosphere with a particularly functional and stylish variant. The robust bracelet was specially developed for use in water and impresses with its high resistance and ease of care – ideal for daily use as well as for demanding dives. With a high-quality stainless steel folding clasp, even putting on and taking off the watch becomes a small pleasure. The modern Hanhart logo is discreetly embossed into the rubber material and harmoniously echoes the design of the dial. The FLY NAVY Aerosphere can now be worn with either the new rubber strap in black or blue, the sporty Hook Strap™ or a classic steel bracelet. In addition to the functional advantage when diving – the strap is easy to clean and at the same time offers the best wearing comfort – it also gives the watches a striking look that perfectly combines sportiness and elegance. OPTIMAL FOR USE IN WATER ROTATING BEZEL WITH STANDARD FONT, 30 ATM AND HELIUM VALVE The font of the numerals on the bezel, which can be rotated in one direction with 60 clicks, is in standard font - this is intended to emphasize perfect legibility. The FLY NAVY Aerosphere has a water resistance of up to 30 bar (approx. 300 m) so that it is ideally equipped for use on and in the water. The suitability of the new timepiece for divers is underlined by a helium valve fitted to the case at 10 o'clock. This also creates the indispensable prerequisite for deep divers. DARKNESS? NO PROBLEM! SUPER-LUMINOVA The hands and numerals of the Hanhart Fly Navy Aerosphere are coated with Super-LumiNova® to ensure optimum readability by day and night.
Value note: The value case is helped by a familiar Swiss-style movement platform at the high-end level. The rest comes down to finishing, fit, and whether the design feels distinct enough.
