Description Technical Specs Questions Islander Kings Point Dive Watch with Midnight Blue Dial #ISL-270 The Islander Kings Point combines an angular case design with modern dial and hand elements to create an all-purpose diver, but unlike one youre accustomed to. Kings Point is a small town on the north shore of Long Island, and most famously, it is the home of the United States Merchant Marine Academy, a highly selective, academic school considered one of the best in the nation and offers a full tuition to anyone who gets accepted. The fully brushed, angular case takes on the appearance of the F-117 Stealth Fighter, scattering all the light that hits it and not providing bright reflections. It measures 42.4mm in diameter, so it is perfect for those of you looking for something a bit larger. It measures 14.2mm to the top of the single domed sapphire crystal and is a proportional 50mm from case tip to case tip. The dial has many intricate details, from the sloped, faceted applied markers to the deep relief concentric circle engraved in it. Lume (both C3 and BGW9) is meticulously applied on the hands and markers, as well as the outer track of the dial, to give an amazing show when the lights go down. The ceramic bezel insert is mounted to a 120 click, uni-directional ratcheting bezel. The insert has lume applied as well for the ultimate low-light visibility. The crown is screw down, ensuring a full 200 meters of water resistance, making this a true tool divers watch. A date window is placed at the 6:00 position to maintain dial balance. The bracelet is solid link and solid endlink, and is sized with screws. It is fully brushed, except for 2 small areas on each link, providing just the right amount of shine. The lug end is 20mm and fits perfectly into the case, giving the appearance of an integrated bracelet (but it isnt). It tapers to 18mm to a 6-position milled scissor clasp.
