The Friedrich August I. is a classic mechanical wristwatch by Lang & Heyne from the Dresden region. In its design and proportions, the model deliberately references the tradition of Saxon pocket watches: a two-part white grand feu enamel dial or a black galvanised silver dial, Arabic numerals, and pomme or cathedral hands define its appearance. Inside, the hand-wound Caliber I operates with a small seconds display and hacking seconds. This first movement was entirely developed and manufactured in-house and reflects elements of Saxon court watchmaking, translated into a clear and wearable form.
