We are proud to introduce the Angelus Chronographe Télémètre Massena LAB, a monopusher chronograph with a grained, black dial and an elegant case crafted from 18k gold and an exemplary movement by a watchmaker renowned for creating highly technical chronographs, Angelus. With a diameter of 37 mm and a thickness of only 9.25 mm, the Chronographe Télémètre is one of the most compact of the contemporary Angelus models. True to the spirit of historic Angelus chronographs, the watch features a classically styled case in 18k yellow gold (3N) with a slim bezel for maximum dial surface area and legibility. The Chronographe Télémètre features a black, grained, sunk dial set under a box sapphire crystal. Its black color, inspired by a vintage Angelus chronograph from William Massena's collection, is rare among Angelus watches. The grained dial reduces the effects of glare while providing textural contrast to its two radially grooved subsidiary dials: small seconds at 9 o'clock and a 30-minute counter at 3 o'clock. Gold-plated indices and Arabic numerals are polished, providing clear contrast to the matte black dial. Powering the timepiece is an exemplary movement: the manual-winding Angelus caliber A5000. Manufactured in-house, the caliber uses only a single pusher — cleverly integrated into the crown — to start, stop, and reset the chronograph. The finely crafted movement measures 24 mm in diameter and just 4.2 mm in thickness, ideal proportions for a 37 mm case. The movement utilizes a Swiss-lever escapement with a balance wheel oscillating at 21,600 vibrations per hour (3 Hz), ensuring optimal precision. The caliber A5000 is distinguished by its exemplary finishing: the elements of the mainplate and bridges are carefully beveled and finished with 3N gold. The functional components of the chronograph are palladium-coated for both performance and visual contrast. The levers, return mechanisms, and hammers are crafted from stainless steel and are finely brushed to highlight their form. Last, the movement features polished screws and circularly grained gear wheels to add visual texture and depth. Price upon request.
