Horizon Rubber HORIZON is the thinnest and most delicate model within the four collections offered by Minase. As the name suggests, the singular design of the Horizon watch was inspired by the harmonious, smooth horizon line. This design cue led to both the case and bracelet (or strap) to seemingly appear on a single plane. The curved shape of the case and the integration of the bracelet or the leather strap make Horizon very comfortable to wear. Its shape fits perfectly, even on small wrists. In addition, the Horizons thick sapphire crystal has been cut and polished from the front to the back. The result is a dome reminiscent of the waters surface. With the Horizon Rubber, Minase wanted to create a sober watch that would pay tribute to their beautiful country. Japan is an island, so wherever you go, however different the region may look, if you walk to the shore, youll find that horizon line over the ocean. Minase likes the idea that when you look so far away, the ocean always looks calm, and thats what they did with the Horizon. From the top, the overall watch looks calm and peaceful. On the other hand, seen from the sides, the watch becomes strong, powerful and virile. With its polished sides surrounding a brushed concave central part, its finish is reminiscent of the Katana, the famous samurai sword. A special feature that meets the eye is the date window displaying the date preceding and following the current D-day with a little arrow pointing to the current date. A square watch Like all Minase watches, Horizon rubbers architecture is based on an unusually high number of parts and innovative technical solutions. To perfectly fit the domed dial and crystal, the hands are delicately bent at the tip.
