Introducing the Olmsted Matte, the classic field watch that you know and love, now with a non-reflective, durable ceramic coating that helps it disappear on your wrist. In a nod to simplicity and symmetry, weve modified the movement and removed the date function for a super clean look. And no, theres no phantom date jump or crown position! We do things right. Each Matte Series watch is individually coated in small batches right here in the United States. The coating process uses incredibly high temperatures to harden and cure the ceramic, leaving behind an even matte surface. The patina developed over time will be specific to the wearer and one of a kind. Each watch is hand-assembled, tested and regulated at our Chicago headquarters by our head in-house watchmaker and Director of Watchmaking, Nathan. From the hand-beveled edges with applied water-based dye to the hidden orange stitching on the floating keeper, our leather strap tapers from 20mm to 18mm at the buckle for a comfortable fit.
