After more than five decades concealed in the Ollech & Wajs archives, an almost forgotten watch, originally produced for U.S. Army Airborne units during the Vietnam era, is reactivated. The OW MV-82 is based on an archival piece that was originally produced for Airborne troops in 1970, and features the U.S. Army Parachutist Badge, or œJump Wings as it is better known. Awarded to soldiers who complete the U.S. Army Airborne School, the emblem symbolizes the discipline, courage, and elite status of qualified military parachutists. Like its forbear, the reissued version bears the words ˜Airborne™ and ˜All The Way™, in reference to the call-and-response greeting of the most famous airborne division of them all, the 82nd. The first 56 watches will have numbered crowns, thereafter the crowns will be marked with the OW's famous propeller monogram. - Swiss made- Bespoke Soprod P024 Automatic- 300 m / 30ATM- Diameter (excluding crown) 39.5 mm- Three-year warranty AVAILABLE NOW Estimated delivery time of 4 weeks from ordering date. FULL DESCRIPTION The M-Series Heritage Collection is a commemorative reimagining of custom field and pilot watches made by Ollech & Wajs for various branches of the U.S. Military in the late 1960s and early 70s. They were purchased by serving personnel deployed across Southeast Asia, as well as by returning veterans who valued OW watches for their reliability, robustness, and extreme water resistance. Surviving examples are extremely scarce and highly sought after by collectors of vintage OWZ. The re-issued watches preserve both the spirit and legacy of OW's deep military heritage. While each model is allegiant to the original, it has been thoughtfully re-engineered to meet contemporary OW standards for precision, durability, and design.
