Unit no: 1st Unit no. 1 Available: 1 Bluey Noir is a vintage Sub style dive watch featuring a robust flat sapphire crystal and a striking blue bezel insert. The watch has undergone a tasteful, handcrafted patina treatment across the dial, hands, insert, case, bracelet, and clasp giving it the retro, well-worn character that vintage Shiro Kara watches are known and sought after for. The dial features a unique take on my Sub-style layout, with slightly larger fonts that give it a more substantial presence. The aging on the dial was done more subtly compared to my other models, where the markers tend to turn yellow/orange. For this piece, I opted for just a hint of that effect, reflecting its intended age and inspiration aligned with the vision of it originating from the 1980s era. The intentional scratches across the case, bracelet, and clasp give a sense of freedom. The freedom to wear the watch without the anxiety of keeping it pristine. This piece is meant to be lived in and enjoyed. The usual pain of that first ding has already been thoughtfully and artfully eased through the watchs aged finish.
