SOLD OUT USA Customers please note Tariff advice in our Latest News Section. The 2025 issue of the PRS29AM Air Ministry and PRS29A Military will feature the Swiss made ETA 2801 hand wound movement. Due to lack of availability these movements are rarely seen in microbrand watches and probably won't feature again in either of the PRS29 models. The Air Ministry is a design variation of the Smiths Military PRS-29 that takes inspiration from the 6B/159 pilot watches supplied to the Air Ministry during WW2. The rarest of these watches is the Smiths 6B/159 which never got beyond the prototype stage. An unworn example was donated to the Science Museum by Smiths in 1948. This reintroduction is a completely new watch, built from scratch and incorporating improvements over the original. It is available only in 36mm diameter, now having a sapphire crystal and drilled lugs with shoulderless springbars to allow a greater choice of straps to be fitted. Both the Air Ministry and Military PRS-29 have a soft iron dial and anti-magnetic cage, giving an anti-magnetic rating of 20,000 A/m (251 Oe) and both have also been allocated a NATO Stock Number (NSN). Supplied in a watch traveling roll with 24 months guarantee. All watches are guaranteed against defective workmanship for 24 months from date of purchase and the guarantee for the first 12 months applies to the original purchaser only.
