What makes the Boston 238 unique: For a week with such unique and special dials, we are capping it off with this breathtaking watch from the Waltham Watch Company. Here we have our Boston 238. Featuring this absolutely amazing ornate dial that truly makes this watch stand out and steal the show. Accented with dark-maroon full-moon hands that pair perfectly with our merlot strap, and capped off with our copper crown and hardware. We used a sandblasted titanium case to not overpower the soft look and subtleties of this delicate dial. We are delighted by the elegance and classic feel of this movement, with 17 jewels powering the gold-plated gears and brass balance wheel. This signature build plate design has been carefully machined all throughout to carry the visual balance and keep your eye moving around the multiple surfaces. A true masterpiece of its time, originally manufactured in Waltham, Massachusetts in 1924. The first successful around-the-world flight began in the United States in April 1924, returning to its start point in September. The trip took 175 days, and covered 27,553 miles.
