What makes the Chicago 532 unique: Check out The Chicago 532. A special, one-of-a-kind American Artisan Series watch built specifically for Star Wars Day. Designed by Kyle here in the shop, this watch was a full team effort. Kyle wanted an all-black watch with a specific patina on the crown and hands. We found an antique Elgin Watch Company movement from 1922 with a previously "unusable" dial. We then used a diamond-like carbon (DLC) black coating on both the case and case-back to complete it. When we started, the dial was so worn that you couldn't see the numerals, so our watchmaker Kent painstakingly hand-painted green lume on the numbers and hands. This level of detail is hard to achieve, and we'll likely not do it again, so to say this watch is truly a unique piece is definitely an understatement. May the 4th be with you!
