What makes the Indiana 003 unique: The Studebaker Automobile Company, originally known as the Studebaker Brother Manufacturing Company, operated as an American wagon and automobile manufacturer from 1852 to 1967 in South Bend, Indiana. Nearby, the three sons of the companys founder created the South Bend Watch Company from the remnants of Columbus Watch Company in 1902. Both companies were known for their innovation, reliability, and quality manufacturing. The pocket watch housed within the Indiana 003 was originally made by South Bend in 1920 and clearly demonstrates the Studebaker familys commitment to craftsmanship. A dignified bronze dial with pinstripe design and a metallic sundial is punctuated by black Art Deco numerals and gorgeous blued steel kite hands. Weve paired this piece with our 47mm machined bronze case and crown and our stainless steel case back reveals a flawless 19-jewel movement. We are proud to keep the tradition of quality American innovation alive with this watch.
