What makes the Rockford 007 unique: The Rockford 007 carries a clean white dial marked with bold black numerals and accented by a red outer minute track. A recessed sub-seconds dial at 6 oclock provides balance, while heat-blued spade hands sweep across the surface with crisp elegance. Subtle signs of age, including a faint hairline crack near 3 and 4 oclock, remind us of the watchs century-long journey and add character to its display. At its heart is a 17-jewel Rockford Watch Company movement, originally manufactured in 1910 during the brands short but storied production run. Visible through the open caseback, the movement reveals intricate damaskeening across its bridges, gold-filled engravings, and polished steel gears—all hallmarks of Rockfords craftsmanship. This rare piece of American horology has been carefully restored to preserve both its function and legacy. Encased in sandblasted stainless steel with a knurled crown, the watch balances durability with vintage charm. The oxblood leather strap adds richness and depth, complementing the bold contrast of the dial. Both case and strap provide a contemporary frame for this antique movement, making the watch as wearable today as it was over a century ago. In 1910, construction began on Chicagos Navy Pier, a landmark project just 90 miles from Rockford, Illinois. Its easy to imagine a banker of the era glancing at his brand-new Rockford pocket watch while financing the citys growth. Today, The Rockford 007 carries that same history forward, preserving the spirit of early American watchmaking and Midwestern innovation.
