What makes the Springfield 060 unique: This 1922 Illinois, with its beautifully decorated 19-jewel movement, is a testament to the greatness of America's post-World War I manufacturing capabilities, both in design and construction. Its crisp white enamel dial showcases black hour numerals and red seconds numerals. The slender, heat-blued kite hands are the perfect complement to the ornate, calligraphy-style font used by the watchmaker, and the sunk small-seconds subdial at the bottom of the display to provide a visual and textural contrast. To highlight the watch's rugged yet sophisticated appearance, we left the titanium case with a machined finish that evokes the spirit of early 20th-century industrial factories by preserving the slightly visible lines and swirls created as the case is shaped by our tungsten carbide cutting tools. Turning the watch over, the Springfield 060's beautiful 19-jewel movement is the epitome of premium American craftsmanship. All visible screws on the rare, Temprex model movement are gold-plated, and the gears, bridges, and plates have been decorated with a variety of hand-finished textures and designs. No detail was overlooked, and its impressive execution is still remarkable even 102 years after its original creation.
