What Makes The Springfield 310 Unique: The Springfield 310 is one of the most unique watches we™ve ever built. It is defined by contrast and clarity, centered around a striking silver dial that feels both crisp and luminous. Bright blue Arabic numerals provide a vivid, graphic presence against the pale background, immediately drawing the eye while maintaining excellent legibility. A clean minute track frames the dial, while the recessed sub-seconds dial at 6 o™clock adds depth and balance with its own fine detailing. We preserved the original heat-blued steel hands, whose deep blue tone complements the numerals and reinforces the dial's cohesive, purpose-driven design. Inside, this watch is powered by a 17-jewel Illinois movement manufactured in 1922. Through the open caseback, the movement reveals classic American finishing, with Geneva-striped bridges, polished steel components, and gold-toned gears that catch the light as the watch moves. Built during a period when Illinois was producing reliable, high-quality movements at scale, this example reflects both mechanical precision and thoughtful craftsmanship. The watch is housed in our Version 2 machined titanium case, finished cleanly to highlight the sharp lines and modern profile of the design. The case is paired with a teal leather strap that echoes the dial's blue accents and adds a contemporary edge to the overall presentation. In 1922, American industry was rapidly modernizing as the country adjusted to postwar life following World War I. That same year, manufacturers across the United States embraced new efficiencies and design refinements, producing tools and instruments that balanced utility with emerging modern aesthetics. The Springfield 310 captures that momentwhere precision, optimism, and bold visual language came together in American watchmaking.
