The plumeria flower, with its white, yellow, orange or fuchsia pinwheel petals, represents birth and love. It can be a symbol of spring and new beginnings. Abundant and adored throughout the islands of Hawaii, the flower is considered positive and hopeful. In the Hawaiian culture, the plumeria can be used to symbolize a womans romantic status when worn in the hair. Just like a ring, when worn on the left side, she is married and the right side indicates she is single.
