PAST REINTERPRETED PIONEER One Gütenbach, April 12, 2018 - The traditional company Hanhart from the Black Forest is launching the new PIONEER One, an entry-level model in the PIONEER collection. The historical inspiration for the three-hand watch was an icon of the 1950s from Hanhart: the 417 ES Flyback (cal. 42). The PIONEER One combines a vintage look with state-of-the-art technology. MODEL FROM THE 50S Past meets present PIONEER One - timeless design, which has been admired over the past decades, has returned with modern technology and as a three-hand watch. The movement of the hands and the basic design of the dial are based on the iconic Hanhart 417 ES Flyback. By reducing it to a three-hand watch and using the latest watchmaking standards, Hanhart brings the unique charm of the early 1950s back to life. VINTAGE CHARACTER THE PERFECT EVERYDAY COMPANION The PIONEER One measures 42 mm in diameter and 12 mm in height. The typical Hanhart leather strap with stainless steel rivets emphasizes the vintage character of this watch and ensures a pleasant feel on the wrist. It is the perfect everyday companion, whether for work or leisure. The historical character has been combined with the modern Hanhart logo to perfectly complement the PIONEER collection. DARKNESS? HANHART KAL. 42 THE ICONIC PREDECESSOR Die Hanhart Kal. 42, ein Schaltrad-Kaliber mit Flyback-Funktion und Handaufzug, wurde in den 50er Jahren eingeführt und war eine Weiterentwicklung des Kal. 40 und 41. Das Design der Zeiger und Ziffern des PIONEER One basieren auf diesem ikonischen Modell. Das Kaliber wurde in den Hanhart Chronographen 417 und 417 ES (die Edelstahlversion) eingebaut, die ursprünglich für die Luftwaffe der Bundeswehr produziert wurden. Aus diesem Grund wird die Uhr auch unter Kennern als Bundeswehr-Chronograph bezeichnet. In den 1950er-Jahren wurden etwa 500 Stück aus Messing und 500 Stück aus Edelstahl gefertigt. Sie sind heute eine Seltenheit und daher extrem schwer zu finden und zu erwerben. Hanhart-Chronographen waren oft ein ästhetisches Modell für das Design zahlreicher Militär- und Fliegeruhren vieler namhafter Uhrenhersteller.
