What makes the Indiana 013 unique: The Indiana 013 features a classic porcelain dial from South Bend Watch Company, marked by bold Roman numerals and a recessed sub-seconds dial. Over a century old, the dial shows visible age—fine cracks stretch subtly across its glossy surface, offering a compelling reminder of the era it hails from. Slim, heat-blued steel hands sweep across the face with elegant restraint, adding a cool-toned contrast to the white dial and deep black numerals. Inside, this watch houses a 17-jewel South Bend movement made in 1910—a rare find in our collection and a testament to Indianas contribution to American horology. This particular Double Roller movement was a technical advancement of its time, offering improved shock resistance and reliability. The bridge plates feature an ornate and deeply grooved horizontal stripe pattern that catches the light at every angle, while polished steel components and gold gears work in harmony beneath the surface. We preserved this rare movement in a 47mm machined titanium case with a tumbled finish, topped with a smooth, polished titanium bezel. A knurled tumbled titanium crown at the 12 oclock position complements the watchs industrial character, while the deep ebony leather strap adds balance and understated polish. In 1910, the Boy Scouts of America was officially incorporated, marking the beginning of a movement that would shape generations of American youth. That same year, South Bend Watch Company was in its prime, producing watches known for both reliability and regional pride—making this timepiece a true American original.
